The Tolix chair is an icon with a strong character. Over the last century, it has unerringly stridden forward on its four-sheet steel legs, remaining unchanged and defiant of fashion along the way. It was created in 1925 by Xavier Pauchard. A visionary, he designed standard furniture pieces to be practical, modular and marketable. TOLIX®’s authentic A Chair is an icon of industrial design. It is part of the Vitra Museum, Moma, and Pompidou Center collections and in the renowned architect Le Corbusier’s Villa Savoye.

Tips to extend the life of your outdoor furniture
• Avoid abrasive cleaners or tools that could scratch the electroplated finish.
• Stay away from harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners as they might damage the electroplated surface. Opt for gentle cleaning solutions.
• Use a soft cloth or sponge for cleaning to prevent scratching or damaging the electroplating. Microfiber cloths work well for gentle cleaning.
After cleaning, ensure the chair is dried thoroughly to prevent water spots or residue from affecting the electroplating.
• If your furniture is kept outdoors, consider covering it during extreme weather conditions or when not in use to prevent prolonged exposure to harsh elements like direct sunlight, rain, or snow.
• Remember, while e-coated steel enhances the chair’s resistance to corrosion, proper care and maintenance will extend its lifespan and keep it looking great for longer.
